A pioneer in consumer software products, Thomas Proulx brings more than two decades of success to Netpulse. Co-founder of Intuit, Mr. Proulx helped build Intuit from his dorm room at Stanford University to one of the leading consumer software companies of the world.

Mr. Proulx has served on the board of numerous startup companies including iControl Networks, PlumChoice, NextSet Software, and UpShot. Long recognized by his peers, Mr. Proulx was named an Entrepreneur of the Year by both Inc. Magazine and the University of Southern California. In 1995, the California Journal named Mr. Proulx one of the state’s 25 Most Influential People for his work in turning Silicon Valley into a national political force. He is a sought-after guest lecturer at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Stanford University.

Mark Mastrov
Chairman, New Evolution Ventures

Chairman of New Evolution Ventures, Mark Mastrov is the founder of 24 Hour Fitness. Launched in 1983, he built the fitness empire to 420 clubs in six countries. Mr. Mastrov sold the company for $1.68 billion – the largest sum in industry history.

In addition, Mr. Mastrov has built some of the world’s best known international fitness brands, brands such as Planet Fitness Russia, Energy Fitness Chile, Mrs. Sporty in Germany and most recently Hard Candy with Madonna in Mexico. His combined operations exceed one thousand locations worldwide.

Branching into investing, Mr. Mastrov founded private equity firm New Evolution Ventures, which provides capital and operating partnerships, management oversight, and expertise to emerging brands around the world including YogaWorks, USA, Crunch, and UFC Gyms.

Jed Katz

Managing Director, Javelin Venture Partners

A pioneer of Internet commerce, Jed Katz has developed, advised, and invested in early-stage tech companies for nearly 20 years. Prior to joining Javelin Venture Partners, Mr. Katz was a Managing Director at DFJ Gotham Ventures, where he was named one of the “Silicon Alley 100,” an annual list of the most influential people in New York digital business.

Mr. Katz was the founder and COO of Rent Net, one of the first profitable Internet companies. Three years after selling it, Mr. Katz started Move.com, which went on to sell for over $900 million. Nationally recognized for his work, Mr. Katz served on the Technology, Telecom & Media advisory group for President Barack Obama’s campaign. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from University of California, Los Angeles and an Master of Business Administration from The Haas School of Business at University of California at Berkeley.

Scott Lenet
Managing Director, Draper Fisher Jurvetson Frontier

Scott Lenet is a founder and Managing Director at DFJ Frontier, an early-stage technology venture capital firm focused on West Coast companies. He heads up fund management, fundraising, and portfolio management. Mr. Lenet began his venture capital career nearly two decades ago with Geocapital Partners, where his successful investments include Netcom and Logic Works.

Mr. Lenet brings a broad range of expertise to Netpulse, including entrepreneurial experience as the founder and CEO of SmartFrog.com and in product marketing at Trilogy Software. In addition to his board roles for Frontier companies, Mr. Lenet serves on a variety of boards including the Sacramento Philharmonic and the Entrepreneurship Center at the University of California at Davis Graduate School of Management, where he was an adjunct professor for seven years. He now teaches entrepreneurship and venture capital at the University of Southern California. Mr. Lenet holds and an Associate Bachelor degree in Comparative Literature from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Arp’s deep relationships with fitness equipment manufacturers, club operators and technology partners have catapulted Netpulse to the forefront as the industry’s dominant interactive media platform. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Capital University and a Master of Arts from San Francisco State University.
